dissolving fleeting
under a cruel sun
the things that rot inside

it's all this vitriol

that covers everything

shaking hands and cramping stomachs
wading through the ashes of funeral pyres
biting, swinging and lashing out
against this world
that feeds us nothing
with nothing but contempt
We swallowed this poison
for far too long
it hollowed us out

hiding behind veils of lies
well tell us "this is fine"

the light that's dying inside our eyes
